FIREWALKING
A Journey of Alchemy, Connection, Transformation, and Remembering

This is not just a firewalk.

It is a portal....

Firewalk (2).png

Sacred and ceremonial in nature, a firewalk is a co-created rite of passage — an offering to the land, the ancestors, and to your own becoming. These events are designed for smaller, more intimate groups, held either on your land (privately) or mine (privately or publicly), and rooted deeply in reverence, transformation, and connection.

This is a journey back to the ancient ways. An invitation. A bridge between the worlds.

Together, we gather in sacred circle where we return to ritual and reconnect to something far greater than ourselves. Through teachings, storytelling, and shared experience, you’ll learn the history and traditions of firewalking, the science and spirit behind it, and why this elemental practice continues to awaken, heal, and empower across cultures and time.

But this is not a passive experience. It’s not just another workshop or event.

You are part of the entire ceremony.

We start the fire as a collective.

We adorn it with offerings and prayers.

We sing to it, cry to it, dance around it.

We ask the flames to consume what no longer serves and to illuminate the path ahead.

We honour the ancestors who have walked before us.

We honour the land we walk upon.

We honour Mother Earth — Pachamama — and offer our hearts in devotion, respect, and healing.

This firewalk is a reclamation.

A remembering.

A rewilding of the soul.

It is an invitation to shed old skins, cross thresholds, and come home to your own sacred power — held in the arms of the Earth, witnessed by fire, and guided by the wisdom of ancient ways.

Anchor 1

“The firewalk is a perfect symbol for our times when it seems like the fires of life are burning out of control. We have a tendency to pull back from challenges, to recoil from the horrors currently facing the human race. This is not a time when we can afford to pull away. We need to step out and bring our balance to this world…The firewalk tells us to step into the fire, that hesitation is the robber — that fear steals away power. But if we step into the fires in our lives, we will be given the energy, the power to overcome, to heal, to soothe those fires that seem presently so uncontrollable to us.”

Firewalking is an ancient, transformational rite that has been and continues to be practiced around the world. It invites you to courageously face your fears, reclaim your power, and awaken to the untapped potential within you. You’ll be invited to break through self-limiting beliefs, release old stories, and remember the truth of who you are.

This isn’t just mind over matter — it’s a shift in energy, perspective, and consciousness. As you walk across the fire, you come into relationship with the mystery, the fire, and your own infinite capacity. What else might be possible when you realize the impossible is already within you? This is a life-changing experience that stays with you forever — and you are more than ready for it.

FAQs

Can I attend even though I might not walk? YES! Participation in the actual firewalk is always voluntary, and the medicine of the fire is as potent and transformative whether you choose to walk or not. You are supported and empowered to tune in and trust your body and follow your own inner guidance.

But will my feet burn? Fire is a natural element of nature, and yes, it comes with an element of risk. However, I have been personally trained by both founding and leading teachers in the industry and the workshop includes instruction for safe and proper methods for walking. When you follow my lead and your inner guidance, burns are extremely rare and don’t cause serious injury.

How long will the firewalk last? You are included in the adorning and lighting of the fire and then will receive teachings while the fire is tended to and burns down. We also check-in post-walk and have light snacks. Every group is different, but you can expect the entire event to run approx. 3-4 hours.

Do I need to bring anything or prepare in advance? There is nothing that you need to prepare in advance and you will be provided with instructions a week or so prior of what to bring/how to dress. It is important to note that firewalk events are SUBSTANCE FREE; there is no alcohol, cannabis, etc to be consumed during or prior to the event.

What is the refund policy once I have paid? Once you are registered and paid, there are no refunds. You are welcome to transfer your registration to a friend and if you absolutely can’t make it, contact me at least 48 hours prior to the event and we will look at crediting you for a future firewalk. No-shows will not receive refunds or future credits.

Can I book a private firewalk for an event? Yes, absolutely! We can book in for private groups, celebrations, celebrations of life, corporate events (think team building and empowerment), weddings, and pretty much anything you can think of. Send me an email at danette@wildwoodswellness.ca and let’s see if we can make this happen.

Can I contact you to host a firewalk in my community or on my property? Yes, absolutely! Send me an email at danette@wildwoodswellness.ca and let’s see if we can make this happen.

“We live in a community of people who mirror the land we live on; a community of people where fire suppression has been practiced too long, a society packed with ignitable tinder, people ready to explode at any moment, where violence is a way of life. Nature is teaching us that our wildlands need to burn for renewal, and in the same way, we human beings need to renew ourselves by allowing the inner fires, the fire of spirit, to burn passionately.”
